Annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch Set for Saturday, April 21st

King Avenue United Methodist Church is this year’s host for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. This one is going to be catered by LA Catering, the catering arm of Life Care Alliance. The catering is sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross insurance who are partners with NNEMAP. We are grateful for their support for this important and fun event. But what we are really grateful for is our scores of volunteers who make it happen every day! For reservations email Jill Kiley at jillufs@aol.com.

 Fifty Years! Really??

It was 1969 when a group of churches called the Near Northside Coalition of Churches decided to assist the Victorian Village and Near Northside neighborhoods which were suffering from unemployment and lack of housing and other basic needs. They decided to support one pantry and called it the Near Northside Emergency Material Assistance Program. NNEMAP became that pantry, and we will celebrate our 50th anniversary next year! Stay tuned!

NNEMAP Loves Corporate and Church Groups

We are having great success with small groups of 5-10 scheduling time to work at NNEMAP and support our neighbors. There is always lots to do, and we will also find needed projects for your team. If you work with an organization that would love to give back, email Sean Becker at sean@nnemappantry.org for more information!
